Therapeutic Services Tailored to Your Needs
Welcome to Space 2 Contemplate – where you have the time and space to think about things that are important to you.
I offer direct work and consultation to individuals and families (of all types) spanning over the whole of childhood and adulthood. My service is suitable for people who have had difficult life experiences (e.g. traumatic events that are affecting your wellbeing), emotional regulation issues (e.g. anger) and/or mental health issues (e.g. anxiety, depression and feeling disconnected from yourself). I can assess and treat a variety of conditions effectively using tailored treatments. Techniques are verbal and non-verbal and suit a variety of learning styles. Many of the options are available online via Microsoft Teams.
Things that can be helped with therapy are issues such as those below (this is not an exclusive list):
- Behavioural Difficulties
- Depression/Low Mood
- Dissociation/Depersonalisation (where you feel disconnected from yourself/your feelings and may have confusion about whether you did things or not)
- Eating Issues
- PTSD/Trauma – Challenging life events which either impact life generally or can result in sudden, involuntary, unexpected recollection of these and/or poor sleep e.g. struggling to settle, waking often or increased nightmares
- Relationship Issues; with family, friends, work colleagues or the wider public
- Self-Esteem/Body Consciousness
My experience includes working with children aged 2 onwards, adolescents and adults with a variety of abilities and differences. I have worked with individuals and parents/children as well as groups. I also have provided consultation for residential unit carers, foster carers, kinship carers and adoptive parents. I sometimes offer bespoke training upon request.
I am trained in a variety of techniques so I tailor this to what suits you and your needs best in order to help you explore your difficulties and find solutions This can be provided online or in person.
I can work with more than one person to find a way forward where things are stuck or getting worse e.g. parent and child work (filial therapy), family play therapy or sibling play therapy
I have provided advice/guidance and support for individuals working out how to get the best out of a situation e.g. foster carers, kinship carers or professionals in the helping professions and education
I offer supervision to a variety of differently trained people in the helping professions such as therapists, social workers, residential staff and/or therapeutic teaching staff.
